HomeMy Public PortalAbout08975 O R D I N A N C E 8975 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-two Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($62,325.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Infrastructure Repair #039 Vernon & Pennsylvania (91089), in the City of University City, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty Thousand Seven Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($40,717.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-one Thousand Six Hundred Eight Dollars ($21,608.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Sixty-two Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($62,325.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Infrastructure Repair #039 Vernon & Pennsylvania (91089), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Infrastructure Repair #039 Vernon & Pennsylvania (91089), in the City of University City, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of April, 1993 and formally executed on the 11th day of May, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 12, 1993. 2
