HomeMy Public PortalAbout08989 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8989 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Bissell Point Riverview Quarry Landfill (BP-13D, 93071) at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Riverview Quarry Landfill is One Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($123,300.00), and the allowance for change orders is Six Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($6,700.00), and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the current budget year, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Riverview Quarry Landfill (BP-13D, 93071) at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest 2 responsible bidder for the construction of the Riverview Quarry Landfill (BP-13D, 93071) at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of April, 1993 and formally executed on the 11th day of May, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 12, 1993.
