HomeMy Public PortalAbout09022 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9022 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($491,400.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur- Frontenac to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in DC-10 Terrace/Carole/Hwy 40 Sanitary Relief & Terrace Gardens Storm Sewer Phase III (90020), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and storm sewers is Four Hundred Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-seven and 75/100 Dollars ($414,677.75), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Seventy-six Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-two and 75/100 Dollars ($76,722.75), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($491,400.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund 2 of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in DC-10 Terrace/Carole/Hwy 40 Sanitary Relief & Terrace Gardens Storm Sewer Phase III (90020), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in DC-10 Terrace/Carole/Hwy 40 Sanitary Relief & Terrace Gardens Storm Sewer Phase III (90020), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of May, 1993 and formally executed on the 8th day of June, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 1993.
