AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,050,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Weidman Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (93047), in St. Louis
County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment
Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Nine Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Eighteen
and 19/100 Dollars ($929,818.19), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty
Thousand One Hundred Eighty-one and 81/100 Dollars ($120,181.81),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,050,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Weidman Road Sanitary Relief Phase II
(93047), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the

Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Weidman Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (93047), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of May, 1993
and formally executed on the 8th day of June, 1993 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
