AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Seven Hundred
Twenty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($728,500.00), to be
funded as follows: Six Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Dollars
($649,000.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and
Improvement Fund, and Seventy-nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($79,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek, to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater Creek
Sanitary Relief Section E Phase IB-1 (86054), in the City of St.
Ann, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment
Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Five Hundred Seventeen Thousand Ninety-three Dollars
($517,093.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Eleven
Thousand Four Hundred Seven Dollars ($211,407.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Seven Hundred Twenty-
eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($728,500.00), to be funded as

follows: Six Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($649,000.00)
from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund, and
Seventy-nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($79,500.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Coldwater Creek, is hereby appropriated to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater
Creek Sanitary Relief Section E Phase IB-1 (86054), in the City of
St. Ann, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Upper Coldwater Creek Sanitary Relief Section E Phase IB-1
(86054), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri, with The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 20th day of May, 1993 and formally executed on the 8th day of
June, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
