HomeMy Public PortalAbout09041 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9041 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($568,350.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Oak Tree Drive Storm Sewer (90244), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Four Hundred Sixty-three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy- eight Dollars ($463,378.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Four Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-two Dollars ($104,972.00), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Fifty-two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-four Dollars ($52,434.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES 2 OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($568,350.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Oak Tree Drive Storm Sewer (90244), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Oak Tree Drive Storm Sewer (90244) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of May, 1993 and formally executed on the 8th day of June, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 14, 1993.
