HomeMy Public PortalAbout09043 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9043 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($54,650.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #031 Lynn & Hanley (90225), in the City of University City, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Thirty-six Thousand Eighty-three Dollars ($36,083.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($18,567.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Fifty-four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($54,650.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #031 Lynn & Hanley (90225), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #031 Lynn & Hanley (90225), in the City of University City, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of June, 1993 and formally executed on the 13th day of July, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 14, 1993. 2
