AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty-seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($127,500.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to
be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Mueller Road #11004 (90255), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with Yowell Construction Co. for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Ninety-four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars
($94,325.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-three Thousand
One Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($33,175.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty-seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($127,500.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Mueller Road #11004 (90255), in St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Yowell Construction Co. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Mueller
Road #11004 (90255) in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 12th day of August, 1993 and formally executed
on the 7th day of September, 1993 by said contractor and by the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of
the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 1993.
