AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-nine Thousand Dollars
($69,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for
the construction of a vertical wall channel and appurtenances in
Robert Avenue #145 (85259), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with R.V. Wagner, Inc. for the construction
of the aforesaid vertical wall channel and appurtenances, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said vertical
wall channel and appurtenances is Forty-six Thousand Three Hundred
and 50/100 Dollars ($46,300.50), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement
costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-two
Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-nine and 50/100 Dollars ($22,699.50),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-nine Thousand Dollars
($69,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to
be used for project costs for the construction of a vertical wall
channel and appurtenances in Robert Avenue #145 (85259), in the
City of Ferguson, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to R.V. Wagner, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of a vertical wall channel and
appurtenances in Robert Avenue #145 (85259) in the City of
Ferguson, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of
August, 1993 and formally executed on the 7th day of September,
1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 1993.
