AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Four Hundred Six
Thousand Dollars ($406,000.00), to be funded as follows: Two
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wedgewood Creek,
and Two Hundred Six Thousand Dollars ($206,000.00) from the
Coldwater Creek Extension and Improvement Fund, to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Woodsage-
Sussex Sanitary Relief (90091), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with Yowell Construction Co. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Three Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-
four and 30/100 Dollars ($339,974.30), and the cost of
engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement
costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change
orders is Sixty-six Thousand Twenty-five and 70/100 Dollars
($66,025.70), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Four Hundred Six
Thousand Dollars ($406,000.00) to be funded as follows: Two
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wedgewood Creek
and Two Hundred Six Thousand Dollars ($206,000.00) from the
Coldwater Creek Extension and Improvement Fund, is hereby
appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Woodsage-Sussex Sanitary Relief (90091), in St.
Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Yowell Construction Co. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Woodsage-Sussex Sanitary Relief (90091) in St. Louis County,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 27th day of August, 1993 and
formally executed on the 7th day of September, 1993 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 1993.
