HomeMy Public PortalAbout09103 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9103 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($703,300.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Powell Avenue #8900 Phase II (90169), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Company, Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($570,525.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($132,775.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($703,300.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Powell Avenue #8900 Phase II (90169), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Unnerstall Contracting Company, Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Powell Avenue #8900 Phase II (90169) in the City of Brentwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of September, 1993 and formally executed on the 7th day of September, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 6, 1993.
