AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-six Thousand
Dollars ($76,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Brookhaven-Lewiston
Storm Sewer (91100), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Fifty-three Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars
($53,330.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-two Thousand
Six Hundred Seventy Dollars ($22,670.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-six Thousand Dollars
($76,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Brookhaven-Lewiston Storm Sewer (91100), in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Brookhaven-Lewiston Storm Sewer (91100) in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 24th day of September, 1993 and
formally executed on the 5th day of October, 1993 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 6, 1993.
