HomeMy Public PortalAbout09116 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9116 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($499,950.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Conway-Bryn Wyck Sanitary Relief Phase II (92045), in the City of Town and Country, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty- nine and 75/100 Dollars ($375,869.75), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Eighty and 25/100 Dollars ($124,080.25), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($499,950.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Conway- Bryn Wyck Sanitary Relief Phase II (92045), in the City of Town 2 and Country, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Conway-Bryn Wyck Sanitary Relief Phase II (92045), in the City of Town and Country, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of November, 1993, and formally executed on the 16th day of November, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 17, 1993.
