AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($225,500.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River
to be used for project costs for the construction of combined
sewers in Lansdowne and Ridgewood Relief (92043), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid combined sewers is
One Hundred Ninety-two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-eight and
50/100 Dollars ($192,568.50), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-two Thousand
Nine Hundred Thirty-one and 50/100 Dollars ($32,931.50), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Seventy-five Thousand One Hundred Sixty-six Dollars ($75,166.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Mississippi River, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:

Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($225,500.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River
is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the
construction of combined sewers in Lansdowne and Ridgewood Relief
(92043), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in
Lansdowne and Ridgewood Relief (92043), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of November,
1993 and formally executed on the 16th day of November, 1993 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
