AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Sixty-six
Thousand Dollars ($566,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
FC-01 Fenton Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (89034), in St. Louis
County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment
Company for the aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section
9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is
Four Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-five and
95/100 Dollars ($473,985.95), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Ninety-two Thousand
Fourteen and 05/100 Dollars ($92,014.05), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Sixty-six
Thousand Dollars ($566,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin is
hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FC-01 Fenton Creek Sanitary
Relief Phase II (89034), in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FC-
01 Fenton Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (89034), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of
November, 1993 and formally executed on the 16th day of November,
1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
