HomeMy Public PortalAbout09153 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9153 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-four Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($74,900.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Emergency Repair No. 20 Gravois Creek Trunk Sewer (94018) in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with St. Louis Bridge Company for the construction of the aforesaid sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances is Fifty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-one and 50/100 Dollars ($57,871.50), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, and allowance for construction change orders is Seventeen Thousand Twenty-eight and 50/100 Dollars ($17,028.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seventy-four Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($74,900.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Emergency Repair 2 No. 20 Gravois Creek Trunk Sewer (94018), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to St. Louis Bridge Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Emergency Repair No. 20 Gravois Creek Trunk Sewer (94018), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of November, 1993 and formally executed on the 13th day of December, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1993.
