HomeMy Public PortalAbout09170 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9170 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($282,450.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wellston to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Glenchort - Salzman (87088), in the City of Wellston, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Concrete Design, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Ninety-six Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy- six and 99/100 Dollars ($196,876.99), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-three and 01/100 Dollars ($85,573.01), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($282,450.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wellston to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Glenchort - Salzman (87088), in the City of Wellston, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Concrete Design, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Glenchort - Salzman (87088), in the City of Wellston, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of December 1993 and formally executed on the 11th day of January, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 1994.
