AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($7,500.00) from the Reserve for Real Property Purchase, Improvements and
Alterations Fund for the purchase of certain real property in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri to be used as a pump station site for the Lemay Overflow
Regulation System; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase
from the owners thereof the aforementioned real property.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($7,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Reserve for Real Property
Purchase, Improvements and Alterations Fund for the purchase of certain real
property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri to be used as a pump station site
for the Lemay Overflow Regulation System.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
purchase from the owners thereof the following real property in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri to be used as a pump station site for the Lemay Overflow
Regulation System, at a price not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($7,500.00), said property to be free from all liens and encumbrances,
and more particularly described as follows:
Lot 1 in Block 22, Survey 4 of Carondelet and in Block 3138 of the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, fronting 25 feet on the West line of
Alaska Avenue, by a depth Westwardly of 47 feet, more or less, to
River des Peres; bounded South by Primm Street.
Lot 2 in Block 22, Survey 4 of Carondelet and in Block 3138 of the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, fronting 25 feet on the West line of
Alaska Avenue by a depth Westwardly of 60 feet, more or less, to
River des Peres.
Lot 3 in Block 22, Survey 4 of Carondelet and in Block 3138 of the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, fronting 25 feet on the West line of
Alaska Avenue, by a depth Westwardly of 67 feet, more or less, to
River des Peres.
Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to them by said
owners of a General Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from liens and
encumbrances, conveying title to said land to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized
to pay to said owners for said real property and improvements thereon a total
sum not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00).
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
