AN ORDINANCE, designating certain classes of employees of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, within the Management
Schedule, as eligible for the payment of overtime compensation,
with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 13.7c of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District Civil Service Rules and Regulations,
classified employees in classes allocated to the Management
Schedule shall be entitled to be paid for overtime work only if
provided by District ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees hereby wishes to designate
certain classes of employees of the District, within the Management
Schedule, as eligible for overtime compensation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The following classes of employees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, within the Management
Schedule, are hereby designated as eligible for the payment of
overtime compensation, to wit:
1. Secretary to Board of Trustees
2. Graphic Design Supervisor
3. Associate Plant Operation Supervisor
4. Associate Watershed Supervisor
5. Assistant Watershed Supervisor (Maintenance)
6. Assistant Watershed Supervisor (Pump Station)
7. Resident Inspector
8. Right-of-Way Agent
9. Administrative Assistant
10. Associate Engineer
11. Assistant Engineer
12. Connection and Dedication Engineer
13. Surveyor
14. Purchasing Agent
Section Two. The classes of employees within the
Management Schedule as herein made eligible for overtime
compensation are essential to the operations of the District, and
the overtime compensation for said classes must be established
without delay, pursuant to federal law, thus creating an emergency
within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 8, 1994.
