O R D I N A N C E NO. 9251
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty-one
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($281,625,00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of a sheet pile wall, rock blanket slope protection,
and appurtenances in Infrastructure Repair #103 (Jana Ln.) 93111,
in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and confirming a contract with
Tarlton Corporation for the aforesaid construction, in compliance
with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sheet pile
wall, rock blanket slope protection, and appurtenances is Two
Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-one and 62/100
Dollars ($225,981.62), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Fifty-five Thousand Six Hundred
Forty-three and 38/100 Dollars ($55,643.38), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorization herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty-one Thousand
Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($281,625.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of a sheet pile wall, rock
blanket slope protection, and appurtenances in Infrastructure
Repair #103 (Jana Ln.) 93111, in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of a sheet pile wall, rock blanket
slope protection, and appurtenances in Infrastructure Repair #103
(Jana Ln.) 93111, in the City of Florissant, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 25th day of May, 1994 and formally executed on
the 7th day of June, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is
hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of
the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 8, 1994.
