O R D I N A N C E NO. 9265
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Thirty-one Thousand Dollars
($631,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee Saturn-Margatehall
Sanitary Relief (91026), in the Cities of Bridgeton and Maryland Heights,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the
aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Five Hundred
Thirty-five Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars ($535,738.00), and the
cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs,
easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Ninety-five
Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($95,262.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Thirty-one Thousand Dollars
($631,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee
Saturn-Margatehall Sanitary Relief (91026), in the Cities of Bridgeton and
Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee Saturn-Margatehall Sanitary
Relief (91026), in the Cities of Bridgeton and Maryland Heights, Missouri,
within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 26th day of May, 1994 and formally executed on the 7th day of
June, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 13, 1994.
