HomeMy Public PortalAbout09266 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9266 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Four Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($449,200.00), to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($375,200.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Marlborough, and Seventy-four Thousand Dollars ($74,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Maintenance Repairs #106 (88067), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bates Utility Co. for the construction of the aforesaid storm and sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm and sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Sixty-two Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-five Dollars ($362,995.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-six Thousand Two Hundred Five Dollars ($86,205.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The total sum of Four Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($449,200.00), to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Seventy- five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($375,200.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Marlborough, and Seventy-four Thousand Dollars ($74,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund, is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Maintenance Repairs #106 (88067), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bates Utility Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Maintenance Repairs #106 (88067), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of June, 1994 and formally executed on the 12th day of July, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 13, 1994. -2-
