O R D I N A N C E NO. 9299
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($130,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Forest Avenue Sanitary Sewer (93061), in the
City of Valley Park, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Concrete Design,
Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Ninety-six Thousand Three Hundred Forty-three and 57/100 Dollars ($96,343.57),
and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement
costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-three Thousand
Six Hundred Fifty-six and 43/100 Dollars ($33,656.43), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($130,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Valley Park to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Forest Avenue Sanitary Sewer (93061), in
the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Concrete Design, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Forest Avenue Sanitary Sewer (93061), in the City of
Valley Park, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 15th day of July 1994 and formally executed
on the 9th day of August, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 10, 1994.
