O R D I N A N C E NO. 9301
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($273,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Glenway & Glen Elm Storm Sewer (92063), in the
City of Glendale, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bates Utility
Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance
with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Eighteen Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Dollars ($218,380.00), and the
cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs,
easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-five
Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($55,120.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($273,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Glenway & Glen Elm Storm
Sewer (92063), in the City of Glendale, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Glenway & Glen Elm Storm Sewer (92063), in the
City of Glendale, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of July 1994 and formally
executed on the 9th day of August, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 10, 1994.
