HomeMy Public PortalAbout09306 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9306 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($670,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Emergency Repair #028A (Branch-Blair to 19th) 95018, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Affholder, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid combined sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewers is Five Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($595,600.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, and allowance for construction change orders is Seventy-four Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($74,400.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($670,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Emergency Repair #028A (Branch-Blair to 19th) 95018, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Affholder, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Emergency Repair #028A (Branch-Blair to 19th) 95018, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of August, 1994, and 2 formally executed on the 9th day of August, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 10, 1994.
