HomeMy Public PortalAbout09349 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9349 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($951,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bonfils Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase III (92069), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Eight Hundred Forty-four Thousand One Hundred Twenty-two Dollars ($844,122.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Seven Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-eight Dollars ($107,378.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($951,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bonfils Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase III (92069), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bonfils Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 2 III (92069), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of September, 1994 and formally executed on the 13th day of September, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 1994.
