HomeMy Public PortalAbout09351 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9351 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to George Baggott, certain real property of the District located in St. Louis County, Missouri and prescribing the terms of said transaction. WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described has been declared as surplus pursuant to Resolution No. 2000, adopted July 9, 1991, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2016, adopted September 18, 1991, said real property was appraised and publicly advertised for sale. All bids were rejected, and said property was then listed with a licensed and qualified real estate broker chosen under provisions of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's General Management Policy/Procedures P-11 - Securing Professional Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized to sell and convey to George Baggott, certain real property of the District located in St. Louis County, Missouri for the total sale price of One Hundred Three Thousand Dollars ($103,000.00), said real property being described as follows: 2 A part of Lots 1 and 3 as represented on plat attached to Commissioner's Report in Partition in Cause No. 39, October Term 1859 of the St. Louis Land Court styled Mary Davis, et al., vs. Samuel W. Forder, et al., in U.S. Survey 3119, Township 43 North, Range 6 and 7 East in St. Louis County, Missouri a copy of which is recorded in Book 285, Page 331 of the City of St. Louis Recorder's Office and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the West line of said Lot 1 of the Davis Partition in U.S. Survey 3119 with the South line of Lindbergh Boulevard (now Highway I-270) as established by the State of Missouri Highway Commission by deed recorded in Book 1811, Page 471 of the St. Louis County Records, said point being distant North 18 degrees 25 minutes East, 385.65 feet (measured along the West line of said Lot 1) from the Southwest corner of said Lot 1; thence along the South line of said Lindbergh Boulevard, North 71 degrees 35 minutes West, 163.63 feet, more or less to Highway Station 122+50; thence South 18 degrees 25 minutes West, 100 feet; thence North 71 degrees 35 minutes West, 209.27 feet, more or less; thence Southwardly leaving the South line of Lindbergh Boulevard, South 18 degrees 25 minutes West, 285.58 feet, more or less; thence Eastwardly along the South line of said Lot 1 and its prolongation Westwardly, South 71 degrees 34 minutes 20 seconds East, 859.59 feet, more or less to the West line of a tract of land conveyed to the State of Missouri for the use of the State Highway Commission of Missouri for the right-of-way of Interstate Route 255; thence Northwestwardly along said right-of-way of I-255, the following courses and distances: North 17 degrees 48 minutes 40 seconds West, 130.09 feet to a point; thence North 29 degrees 51 minutes West, 240.83 feet to a point; thence North 43 degrees 50 minutes West, 260.25 feet to the South line of Lindbergh Boulevard and the point of beginning. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute and deliver a Special Warranty Deed and any and all other documents as approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District as may be necessary to effect the sale and conveyance as authorized in Section One above, and further to deposit the proceeds from said sale and conveyance in the reserve for Real Property Purchase, Improvement and Alterations Account. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 1994.
