AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($639,500.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and
Improvement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in St. Gregory Lane Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (89196), in the City
of St. Ann, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company
for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Five Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-four Dollars ($532,454.00),
and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement
costs, easement costs and allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Seven Thousand Forty-six Dollars ($107,046.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($639,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek
Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund, to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gregory Lane Sanitary Sewer
Rehabilitation (89196), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri.

Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in St. Gregory Lane Sanitary Sewer
Rehabilitation (89196), in the City of St. Ann, Missouri, with The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day
of September, 1994 and formally executed on the 11th day of October, 1994 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the
Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 1994.
