AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of Macklind Pump Station Modifications, Lemay Service Area
Overflow Regulation System, Lower River des Peres (L-02A, 93039A), in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Sachs Electric Company
for the construction of the aforesaid modifications, in compliance with Section
9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said modifications is Two
Hundred Seventy Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Dollars ($270,380.00), and the
cost of engineering, inspection, advertisement costs and allowance for
construction change orders is Twenty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty Dollars
($29,620.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of Macklind Pump Station
Modifications, Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Lower River des
Peres (L-02A, 93039A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Sachs Electric Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of Macklind Pump Station Modifications, Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation
System, Lower River des Peres (L-02A, 93039A), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 22nd day of September, 1994 and formally executed on
the 11th day of October, 1994 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 1994.
