AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty-four Thousand
Dollars ($324,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in DC-8 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III
(93034), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and confirming a contract with JHB
Contracting Co., Inc. for the construction of aforesaid sanitary sewers, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Three Hundred Seven Thousand Ninety-five and 70/100 Dollars ($307,095.70), and
the allowance for construction change orders is Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred
Four and 30/100 Dollars ($16,904.30), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars
($324,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-8 Deer Creek Sanitary
Relief Phase III (93034), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to JHB Contracting Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in DC-8 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III
(93034), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of
October, 1994 and formally executed on the 11th day of October, 1994 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan
of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 1994.
