AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Seventeen
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($917,500.00) from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of sanitary sewers in East Concord Interceptor Relief Phase I
(89135), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract
with Karsten Equipment Company for the aforesaid construction, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is
Eight Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventeen
Dollars ($873,717.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Forty-three Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-three Dollars
($43,783.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Seventeen Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($917,500.00) from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in East Concord Interceptor Relief
Phase I (89135), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the

Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in East
Concord Interceptor Relief Phase I (89135), in St. Louis County,
Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of January,
1995 and formally executed on the 8th day of February, 1995 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
