HomeMy Public PortalAbout09504 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9504 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the procurement of a biofilter (93054A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. for the furnishing of the aforesaid equipment, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the evaluated bid for the furnishing of a biofilter is Two Hundred Ninety-five Thousand Dollars ($295,000.00), and the allowance for change orders is Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the procurement of a biofilter (93054A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, Inc. as the 2 lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of a biofilter (93054A) for the Lemay Treatment Plant in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of February, 1995 and formally executed on the 8th day of March, 1995 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 9, 1995.
