AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into an agreement with the City of St. Louis,
Missouri whereby the District will administer the program and
contribute funds toward the reconstruction and/or rehabilitation of
the sewerage systems in O'Fallon, Fairgrounds, Tower Grove and
Forest Parks in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, Missouri has applied for
and received a $5.7 million grant for said project from the United
States Environmental Protection Agency, and
WHEREAS, said City has requested that the District
administer the program and contribute $4.7 million thereto, and
WHEREAS, the District has expressed willingness to accept
the sewers in the parks when a sufficient stormwater rate was in
place, and
WHEREAS, the reconstruction and/or rehabilitation of the
sewers will be of mutual benefit to the City of St. Louis, Missouri
and the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into an agreement with the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, whereby the District will administer the
program and contribute funds toward the reconstruction and/or
rehabilitation of the sewerage systems in O'Fallon, Fairgrounds,
Tower Grove and Forest Parks in the City of St. Louis, Missouri;
said agreement to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are
approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 9, 1995.
