HomeMy Public PortalAbout09554 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9554 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell and convey to The Board of Directors of The St. Louis Public Library, certain real property of the District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri and prescribing the terms of said transaction. WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described has been declared as surplus pursuant to Resolution No. 2163, adopted December 8, 1994, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2016, adopted September 18, 1991, said real property was appraised and publicly advertised for sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized to sell and convey to The Board of Directors of the St. Louis Public Library, certain real property of the District located in the City of St. Louis, Missouri for the total sale price of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,600,000.00), said real property being described as follows: Lots 30, 31, 32 and 33 in Block 2 of HAMPTON HILLS and in Block 6315 of the City of St. Louis, together fronting 200 feet on the West line of Hampton Avenue by a depth westwardly of 150 feet along the South line of said Lot 2 33 and of 153.02 feet along the North line of said Lot 30 to an alley, having together a width thereon of 230.23 feet; EXCEPTING THEREFROM a triangular strip 10.2 feet by 10 feet in the Northeast corner of said Lot 30 dedicated for street purposes; bounded on the North by Sutherland Avenue; FURTHER EXCEPTING THEREFROM the land adjacent to the parcel conveyed hereby which lies under Hampton and Sutherland Avenues. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute and deliver a Special Warranty Deed and any and all other documents as approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District as may be necessary to effect the sale and conveyance as authorized in Section One above, and further to deposit the proceeds from said sale and conveyance in the reserve for Real Property Purchase, Improvement and Alterations Account. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 1995.
