AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Thirty-six
Thousand Dollars ($536,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Fairway Court-Lilly Jean Sanitary Relief (91095), in the
Cities of St. Ann, Woodson Terrace and Edmundson, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the
aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the
Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is
Five Hundred Ten Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-eight and 50/100
Dollars ($510,388.50), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Twenty-five Thousand Six Hundred Eleven and 50/100
Dollars ($25,611.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thirty-six Thousand
Dollars ($536,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Fairway Court-Lilly Jean Sanitary Relief
(91095), in the Cities of St. Ann, Woodson Terrace and Edmundson,
Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Fairway Court-Lilly Jean Sanitary Relief (91095), in the Cities of
St. Ann, Woodson Terrace and Edmundson, Missouri, within The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 31st day of March, 1995 and formally executed on
the 19th day of April, 1995 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is
hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of
the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
