AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Five Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($205,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of
River des Peres, to be used for project costs for the construction
of concrete and steel piers in Infrastructure Repair #152 (No.
Price Rd. #1340) (95019), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and
confirming a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the
aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the
Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is One Hundred
Ninety-five Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five and 50/100 Dollars
($195,755.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is
Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-four and 50/100 Dollars
($9,744.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Five Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($205,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of River
des Peres, is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for
the construction of concrete and steel piers in Infrastructure
Repair #152 (No. Price Rd. #1340) (95019), in the City of Olivette,
Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of concrete and steel piers
in Infrastructure Repair #152 (No. Price Rd. #1340) (95019), in the
City of Olivette, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of
May, 1995 and formally executed on the 10th day of May, 1995 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 1995.
