AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nineteen Million Dollars
($19,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of Pump Station and Gate
Modifications, Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Lower
River des Peres (L-02B, 93039B), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Kloster/Transcon, a joint venture, for
the construction of the aforesaid modifications.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said
modifications is Seventeen Million Ninety-five Thousand Dollars
($17,095,000.00, and the cost of utility relocations/procurement,
property acquisition, asbestos removal, etc. and allowance for
construction change orders is One Million Nine Hundred Five
Thousand Dollars ($1,905,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nineteen Million Dollars
($19,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of Pump Station and Gate Modifications, Lemay Service Area Overflow
Regulation System, Lower River des Peres (L-02B, 93039B), in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Kloster/Transcon, a joint venture as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of Pump Station and Gate Modifications, Lemay
Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Lower River des Peres (L-
02B, 93039B), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 25th day of May, 1995.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 13, 1995.
