AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($180,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of an underground pre-cast
reinforced concrete pump station, force main and appurtenances in
Lynn Haven Wet Weather Surcharge Relief (95076), in the City of
Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company
for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One
Hundred Forty-six Thousand Dollars ($146,000.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Thirty-four Thousand Dollars
($34,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($180,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund is hereby
appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of
an underground pre-cast reinforced concrete pump station, force
main and appurtenances in Lynn Haven Wet Weather Surcharge Relief
(95076), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of an underground pre-cast reinforced concrete pump
station, force main and appurtenances in Lynn Haven Wet Weather
Surcharge Relief (95076), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri,
within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 12th day of September, 1995.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.

The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 14, 1995.
