AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ninety-three
Thousand Dollars ($193,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in New Florissant Road Wet Weather Surcharge Relief (95078),
in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Company for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is One
Hundred Eighty-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($183,500.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Nine Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety-three
Thousand Dollars ($193,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in New Florissant Road Wet Weather
Surcharge Relief (95078), in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in New Florissant Road Wet Weather
Surcharge Relief (95078), in the City of Florissant, Missouri,
within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 11th day of October, 1995.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
