HomeMy Public PortalAbout09732 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9732 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($424,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Dickson & Chelsea Storm Sewer (94026), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Four Hundred Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($403,857.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty Thousand One Hundred Forty-three Dollars ($20,143.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($424,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Dickson & Chelsea Storm Sewer (94026), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Dickson & Chelsea Storm Sewer (94026), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of October, 1995. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 9, 1995.
