HomeMy Public PortalAbout09755 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9755 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Five Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($590,000.00), to be funded as follows: Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wellston, and One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00) from the Improvement Fund, to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in UC-01 Storm Channel Phase II (95046), in the City of Wellston, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Spight Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid construction WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Five Hundred Sixty-two Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($562,150.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($27,850.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The total sum of Five Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($590,000.00), to be funded as follows: Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00) from the Operation, 2 Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wellston, and One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00) from the Improvement Fund is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in UC-01 Storm Channel Phase II (95046), in the City of Wellston, Missouri; Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Spight Contracting, Inc. for the construction of storm sewers in UC-01 Storm Channel Phase II (95046), in the City of Wellston, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of October, 1995. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1995.
