AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Eleven Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($411,558.00) from the Improvement
Fund to pay a partial payment toward the State of Missouri's share
of the total costs for the construction of earthen levees in Howard
Bend Levee Enhancement Phase I Project (P-20414), in the City of
Maryland Heights, Missouri.
WHEREAS, said project was undertaken by the City of
Maryland Heights, Missouri at an estimated total cost to date of
One Million Two Hundred Thirty-four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-
six Dollars ($1,234,676.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
One Million One Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-
six Dollars ($1,124,676.00) toward the total costs of said project,
and will deposit said amount with the District through partial
reimbursements, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there
is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to
pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Eleven Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($411,558.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Improvement Fund to pay a partial payment
toward the State of Missouri's share of the total costs for the
construction of earthen levees in Howard Bend Levee Enhancement
Phase I Project (P-20414), in the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1995.
