HomeMy Public PortalAbout09783 O R D I N A N C E NO. 9783 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($290,500.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #150 (Maryville Gardens) 94133, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Six Hundred Twenty and 15/100 Dollars ($276,620.15), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-nine and 85/100 Dollars ($13,879.85), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($290,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #150 (Maryville Gardens) 94133, in St. Louis County, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure #150 (Maryville Gardens) 94133, in St. Louis County, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of November, 1995. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 1996.
