AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($380,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for the construction of storm sewers in
Fannie Avenue - St. Louis County Storm Sewer Phase II (96001), in St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co.,
Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Three Hundred
Seventeen Thousand Ninety-seven Dollars ($317,097.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders is Sixty-two Thousand Nine Hundred Three Dollars ($62,903.00), and
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to a Federal Grant, has agreed
to reimburse the District for the total costs of said storm sewer construction, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($380,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for the
construction of storm sewers in Fannie Avenue - St. Louis County Storm Sewer Phase II
(96001), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
sewers in Fannie Avenue - St. Louis County Storm Sewer Phase II (96001), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of January, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 1996.
