AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-six Thousand One Hundred Dollars
($76,100.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #037P (Woodridge Trails) 91086, in
the City of Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten
Equipment Company for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Seventy-two Thousand
Four Hundred Seventy-eight and 50/100 Dollars ($72,478.50), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Three Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-one and 50/100 Dollars
($3,621.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-six Thousand One Hundred Dollars
($76,100.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #037P
(Woodridge Trails) 91086, in the City of Fenton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Infrastructure #037P (Woodridge Trails) 91086, in the City of Fenton, Missouri,
within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
11th day of January, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 14, 1996.
