AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($365,000.00) from the Emergency Fund for emergency repairs in Emergency Repair
#033 (20th & Ferry) (96059), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer & Construction for the aforesaid
emergency repairs.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Hundred Twenty
Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-six and 50/100 Dollars ($320,736.50), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Forty-four Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-three
and 50/100 Dollars ($44,263.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized
herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($365,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Emergency Fund for emergency repairs in
Emergency Repair #033 (20th & Ferry) (96059), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Dizdar Brothers Sewer & Construction, as the lowest responsible bidder, for
emergency repairs in Emergency Repair #033 (20th & Ferry) (96059), in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 13th day of March, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 14, 1996.
