AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty-two Thousand Six Hundred
Twenty-five Dollars ($452,625.00) from the Improvement Fund to pay the final payment of
the State of Missouri's share of the total costs for the construction of earthen levees in
Howard Bend Levee Enhancement Phase II Project (P-20414), in the City of Maryland
Heights, Missouri.
WHEREAS, said project was undertaken by the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri at a total cost of Two Million Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand One Hundred Fifty-
five Dollars ($2,989,155.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Eight Hundred Sixty-
four Thousand One Hundred Eighty-three Dollars ($864,183.00) toward the total costs of said
project, and will deposit said amount with the District, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty-two Thousand Six Hundred
Twenty-five Dollars ($452,625.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to pay
the final payment of the State of Missouri's share of the total costs for the construction of
earthen levees in Howard Bend Levee Enhancement Phase II Project (P-20414), in the City
of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 13, 1996.
