AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-two Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for professional engineering services to conduct additional
water quality sampling around the Coldwater Wastewater Treatment Plant Lagoons; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 2 to Contract E-818 with Black & Veatch
for the aforesaid professional engineering services.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-two Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for professional engineering
services to conduct additional water quality sampling around the Coldwater Wastewater
Treatment Plant Lagoons.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No.
2 to Contract E-818 with Black & Veatch for professional engineering services to conduct
additional water quality sampling around the Coldwater Wastewater Treatment Plant Lagoons;
said amendment to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 11, 1996.
