AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($240,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Fee Fee-Alan Shepard Wet Weather Surcharge Relief
(96017) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-
eight Thousand Thirty Dollars ($228,030.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Dollars ($11,970.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Fee Fee-Alan Shepard Wet Weather Surcharge Relief
(96017), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Fee Fee-Alan Shepard Wet Weather Surcharge Relief (96017), in the City of
Maryland Heights, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 15th day of May, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
