AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Three Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($103,500.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of the Riverside-Yarnell Interceptor Sewer Odor Control Facility (91016), in
the City of Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Orf
Construction for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the aforesaid facility is Ninety-eight
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-two and 94/100 Dollars ($98,352.94), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Five Thousand One Hundred Forty-seven and 06/100 Dollars
($5,147.06), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($103,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of the Riverside-Yarnell Interceptor Sewer Odor Control
Facility (91016), in the City of Fenton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Orf Construction as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Riverside-Yarnell
Interceptor Sewer Odor Control Facility (91016), in the City of Fenton, Missouri, within The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of
June, 1996.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
